Yandina Station
A heritage property established in 1853 on a 200-acre working cattle farm, set on 14 acres with Mt Coolum views. Ceremony options include lawn, lakeside dock and the rustic Dairy Barn for receptions.
About Yandina Station
Established in 1853, Yandina Station is a heritage property still running as a 200-acre working cattle farm, with 14 acres of it given over to weddings and Mt Coolum holding the horizon. The buildings wear their age rather than hide it, and the place reads as a farm that happens to host weddings rather than a venue dressed as one. Ceremonies come down to a choice of ground: the Lawn puts Mt Coolum directly behind the couple, the lakeside dock is the quieter setting with views across to Mt Ninderry, and the Pavilion offers shelter.
The station accommodates up to 180 guests, seated in the Dairy Barn, a rustic reception space that keeps its period charm alongside full service. Venue hire typically covers access to the property, the chosen ceremony location, the Dairy Barn for the reception and the grounds for photographs, which gives couples a generous run of the station for the day. Moving between ceremony setting, paddocks and barn happens without anyone having to leave the property.
On-site luxury cottages, each with two bedrooms, living areas and timber decks, can be added to wedding packages, so the couple and close family need not travel anywhere once the night ends. Catering and beverages are quoted as extras on top of venue hire, and the station does not publish its arrangements, so these are worth confirming directly. It is a different way of building a wedding, and it hands couples more say over the suppliers and the shape of the day. The combination of working-farm heritage, three ceremony settings and a rustic barn reception makes Yandina Station an outstanding country wedding venue.
