About Widgereedoo Farm

Widgereedoo Farm is the protea flower farm of R&S Flowers, owned by Rock and Sharee, who bought the land in March 2018. The farm covers 43 acres of rural Queensland, eight minutes from Gympie, 45 minutes from Noosa Beach and an hour from the Sunshine Coast, and is hired out for weddings, events and photography. Its settings range from rustic farmland and vineyards to tropical rainforest, so couples can move between backdrops without driving between locations.

Ceremonies can cross a rustic bridge into a fairy garden ringed by tall trees, face the still water of the dam, or take place in the open Wedding Paddock where Sharee and Rock married, which suits larger weddings. The Back Paddock is often chosen for receptions, styled as a long-table feast or a marquee with fairy lights. The cattle ramps beside the vineyard hold 20 to 40 people for an intimate cocktail wedding, and the protea rows flower from October to April.

Accommodation is on the property: a modern two bedroom, two bathroom farm house, and a newly built, self-sustainable tiny house cottage that sleeps up to five and suits the bridal party getting ready. Guests can camp on site, and the farm can help package a celebrant, photographer, catering and marquee hire. Flower arranging workshops are also offered for hens parties or for couples arranging their own wedding flowers. Compare it with the other Queensland wedding venues.
