Villa Botanica occupies five private waterfront acres of garden estate above the Coral Sea, with the Whitsunday Islands laid out beyond. A palm-lined, mosaic-tiled walkway leads to an exquisite hand-carved timber pavilion where ceremonies are held, with a garden bar sitting alongside it. Only one wedding is held per day, so the whole estate belongs to a single celebration from the first arrival to the last dance, and the privacy that brings is a large part of the appeal.
Guest numbers across the estate are confirmed on enquiry, with Villa Botanica House seating 80 for dinner or holding 100 for canapes beneath a sky of twinkling fairy lights, and a marble ballroom waiting for the first dance. Between the ceremony and dinner, the Sea Deck takes over for sunset drinks, with 180-degree panoramic views of the Whitsunday coast and islands. The Cactarium, a one-of-a-kind photo location with another 180 degrees of crystal-clear ocean, is worth the detour when it comes time for photographs.
A dedicated wedding planner is assigned from day one and stays with the couple through the entire planning process, and the estate describes itself as both a venue and a professional planning service. Packages are all-inclusive, covering the details along with professionally catered food and drinks and wedding-night accommodation, though the specific catering and beverage arrangements are not published and are best confirmed directly. The combination of Coral Sea views, a hand-carved ceremony pavilion and exclusive use of the estate makes Villa Botanica an outstanding waterfront wedding venue.
