Clovelly Estate takes its cues from French provincial architecture and drops them into Montville, where the hinterland climate keeps the gardens looking like the reference photos. The estate is best understood through its restaurant. The Long Apron is chef-hatted and central to the property rather than an amenity attached to it, which tells you where the priorities sit on a wedding day.
Ceremonies are held outdoors in the gardens, with indoor alternatives held in reserve for wet weather. What happens next depends on your numbers. Up to 80 seated guests fit on the Library Deck, a covered outdoor deck set among the trees with clear blinds, heaters and an audio system, and it is the warmer, more contained of the two options.
