Preston Peak is a working winery of 330 acres set above the Lockyer Valley, in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs country where the views run a full 360 degrees. What distinguishes the property is that its ceremony sites are scattered across the land rather than concentrated in one corner, so the day is shaped around where a couple wants to stand. Vows can be exchanged along The Avenue, a tree-lined drive, among the trees of The Olive Grove, out in The Vineyard, or under the Wedding Tree Pavilion, which was designed to accommodate any weather so the ceremony goes ahead regardless.
The property accommodates up to 160 guests. Receptions are held either in The Courtyard and Arbour Kitchen, alongside a back garden adorned with fairy lights, or at The Cellar Door beneath a crystal-laden tree chandelier. The Olive Grove and The Avenue double as photograph locations, which keeps the afternoon on the estate instead of in a car, and on-site bridal and groom preparation spaces mean the morning starts there too.
Catering is prepared in-house and fully customisable, cooked by the venue’s chefs from locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Beverages come from the winery’s own cellar, with award-winning exclusive wines and sommeliers on the team. A dedicated team guides couples through every step of the planning, and a curated list of specialty vendors saves starting from scratch. Accommodation is not on site, so guest rooms and transport are organised separately. The combination of 330 acres of valley views, an all-weather ceremony pavilion and wine made on the property makes Preston Peak Functions and Winery an outstanding winery wedding venue.
