Preston Peak is a working winery of 330 acres above the Lockyer Valley, and the land does most of the persuading. The views run a full 360 degrees. What sets the property apart is that ceremony sites are scattered across it rather than concentrated in one corner, so the day is shaped around where you want to stand rather than where the venue would prefer you to stand.
Couples choose between The Avenue, a tree-lined drive, The Olive Grove, The Vineyard, or the Wedding Tree Pavilion, which was built to handle any weather so the ceremony goes ahead regardless of what the Downs decide to do that morning. Receptions land either in The Courtyard and Arbour Kitchen, alongside a back garden strung with fairy lights, or at The Cellar Door beneath a crystal-laden tree chandelier. The property seats up to 160. The Olive Grove and The Avenue double as photograph locations, which keeps the afternoon on the property instead of in a car.
Catering is in house and fully customisable, cooked by the venue’s chefs from locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Wine comes from the cellar next door, with award-winning exclusive labels and sommeliers on the team, which is not something most garden venues can offer. A dedicated team guides the planning, there are bridal and groom preparation spaces on site, and a curated list of specialty vendors saves you starting from scratch.
