Thirty-six hectares of bushland at Twin Waters, wrapped around a private beach-lined lagoon, give the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort more room than most resorts know what to do with. Weddings use the outdoors and the indoors in equal measure, tipi marquees included, and the scale means a long guest list never feels crammed. It is a resort, so the logistics are practised rather than improvised.
Ceremonies take the lawns and the beaches around the lagoon, or move inside if the weather turns. Lily’s on the Lagoon is the signature reception space, set over the water, seating up to 140 or holding 250 for cocktails. For larger seated receptions, the purpose-built Mudjimba Ballroom takes up to 210. Overall venue capacity is not published, so confirm numbers on enquiry, particularly if you have The Event Lawn or a tipi setup in mind.
Catering comes from the resort kitchen and menus can be customised to suit. A dedicated event planning team works with you from enquiry through to the day, backed by an in-house audio-visual team, which matters more than couples expect once speeches and playlists are involved. Discounted accommodation rates are available for you and your guests, the resort works with wedding styling partners, and staff can recommend local transport for guests coming from further afield. The resort keeps its own blog, and given how spread out the grounds are, a site visit is well worth the drive.
