Standing on its own on the Noosa River at Noosaville, the Noosa Waterfront & Bar by Zibros is a private, freestanding venue reached by car, by gondola or by boat. Taken on an exclusive-use basis, the whole building belongs to the wedding for the day, with the water immediately outside and no other tables to work around. Exclusive use is not a requirement, though, and smaller weddings and elopements are just as welcome alongside the restaurant’s regular service. Ceremonies are held on the lawn beside the venue or at one of several sites along the river foreshore, all a short stroll away. The adjacent lawn is booked through Noosa Council, a straightforward process that couples generally arrange alongside a reception at the restaurant.
The restaurant accommodates 120 guests seated or 150 for a cocktail reception, and the same room carries the celebration from arrival through to the end of the night. Because the venue is freestanding, the space can be set for a formal seated dinner or a looser cocktail format, at full capacity on exclusive hire or on a more intimate scale without it. The river frontage keeps guests moving easily between inside and out, and the short walk back from the foreshore ceremony sites means little of the day is lost in transit.
Catering is in-house and exclusive, with seasonal menus offered as three or four course a la carte, a feasting-style menu, a five-course degustation or cocktail service. Beverages run either as set-price packages over five hours, across four tiers, or on consumption against a minimum bar tab. Minimum spends apply and vary by season, so the date chosen has a direct bearing on the budget.
