Moored on the Noosa River, Noosa Boathouse is a three-level floating building strung with fairy lights, and it leans happily into the novelty of that. A private jetty means guests can arrive by boat rather than by carpark, and ceremonies are held at the venue itself, so the day stays in one place on the water. The kitchen has a reputation quite separate from weddings, built on modern Australian cooking with local seafood at the centre of it.
The venue accommodates up to 120 seated guests or 200 for a cocktail reception in The River Room, a second-floor space behind floor-to-ceiling river views, with a private balcony and its own renovated bar. Above it, the Sunset Bar takes up to 100 for cocktails, pairing an indoor bar with a spacious outdoor balcony and unobstructed views up the river. The Eastern Deck seats up to 30 on a covered, private waterfront deck set apart from the restaurant and described by the venue as an all-weather haven, well suited to small ceremonies and intimate dinners.
Catering is handled in-house, with tailored packages built around fresh local produce, seafood and premium beef, and beverages are in-house too, paired with a fine wine selection. Minimum spends apply, and seasonal offers can include full-day hire and a dance floor, so the timing of an enquiry can be worth real money. There is no accommodation on site.
