Established in 1989 and dedicated exclusively to weddings ever since, Maleny Manor occupies a private 30-acre estate in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The land falls away towards the water, with sweeping coastal views reaching all the way to Mount Coolum. Three ceremony locations sit within the grounds: the Helipad, an elevated stretch of grass with the coastline laid out in front of it, a garden setting beneath the estate’s Crows Ash tree, and the sandstone-paved Pavilion, whose clear roll-down blinds make it the wet-weather alternative.
The estate accommodates up to 120 guests seated, or 140 for a cocktail reception, in The Manor. Floor-to-ceiling windows carry the coastal outlook indoors, a dance floor sits at the heart of the room, and a fireplace earns its keep through the cooler months. Couples move between ceremony site, photographs and reception without leaving the property, and exclusive use runs from 11am on the wedding day until 9:30am the following morning, so the celebration never shares the estate with another event.
Catering is prepared by the venue’s own culinary team and built into the packages, as are beverages and a floral package. A team of three on-site wedding coordinators looks after the planning, with one designated to each couple, and event managers stay on the floor through the night. One night’s on-site accommodation for the couple is included, which removes the usual scramble at the end of the evening. The combination of sweeping coastal views, three distinct ceremony settings and a fully coordinated in-house service makes Maleny Manor an outstanding hinterland wedding venue.
