The chapel is the reason most couples look at Sanctuary Cove twice. It is non-denominational, award-winning, and its floor-to-ceiling glass facade opens straight out over the Coomera River, so the view handles most of the decorating. Around it sits a five-star resort spread across 2.4 hectares of grounds, with enough reception rooms to suit a wedding of almost any size.
The chapel seats 80, fitted with ivory pews, a glass-top registry table, silk floral arrangements and a mezzanine that photographers put to good use. The Fountain Terrace is the open-air alternative, overlooking the resort’s fountain, and it can carry a ceremony or a full reception for up to 180. The Grange is the resort’s most popular wedding venue, taking 120 for a banquet or cocktails with distinctive architecture, a private dining room and its own bar, while MacArthur’s Ballroom is the largest room here and seats 180 for a banquet.
Catering is handled in-house across the ceremony and reception packages, and a dedicated team of wedding specialists covers styling, coordination and support. If you would rather not source your own suppliers, the resort maintains an extensive network of florists, photographers and AV partners. All 2.4 hectares are open to you for photography, guests stay on site rather than driving anywhere afterwards, and the resort’s blog is a reasonable way to see how other couples have used the spaces before you visit in person.
