Gabbinbar
A 13-acre heritage estate whose main house dates from 1876 and gardens from 1863. Exclusive-use, all-inclusive weddings with four ceremony locations and three reception spaces.
About Gabbinbar
Set on 13 acres at Toowoomba, Gabbinbar is a heritage estate whose gardens were first planted in 1863 and whose main house followed in 1876. The grounds have had well over a century to mature, and the estate is given to a single wedding at a time, so nothing runs to another party’s schedule. Four on-site ceremony locations are available, among them The Governor’s Lawn beneath the canopy of a 160-year-old Moreton Bay fig, with The Pavilion and its three Austrian crystal chandeliers standing by as the indoor wet-weather alternative.
The Conservatory accommodates up to 150 guests for a reception, a glass-ceilinged room lit by a chandelier and set with either round or long tables. The Ballroom, an 1881 addition to the homestead, brings original floorboards, leadlight windows and three more crystal chandeliers, and is where the dancing tends to land. Overall guest numbers are confirmed on enquiry. Exclusive use of the full 13-acre estate comes with every wedding, along with all wedding day furniture and equipment.
Gabbinbar’s offering is genuinely all-inclusive. Catering is provided by the venue and built around a four-course menu, with 7.5 hours of sommelier-curated wine and beverages alongside it. A dedicated team handles bespoke wedding planning in the lead-up and runs the day itself, so the estate arrives complete rather than as a shell to be filled. There is no accommodation on the property, which is worth planning around given the rural setting. The combination of a mature heritage estate, exclusive use and a fully inclusive package makes Gabbinbar an outstanding luxury wedding venue.
