Five minutes from the Brisbane CBD, Cloudland climbs through several levels of Fortitude Valley in a run of rooms that are events in their own right. Five private wedding spaces sit across the building, indoor and outdoor, each ornate and elaborately designed in its own distinct register, so the choice is as much about mood as it is about guest numbers. An on-site ceremony is available with the premium packages, which keeps vows, dinner and dancing under the one roof.
The venue accommodates up to 400 guests. The level-three Rose Room is the largest, seating 400 or holding 700 for cocktails, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a seven-metre pink onyx bar and a private all-weather rooftop terrace. The Heritage Room is the traditional choice at 100 seated or 250 for cocktails, with chandeliers, pressed metal ceilings, wood panelling, herringbone floors, a private bar and a verandah. The art deco Moon Room seats 120 behind mirror panelling and an enclosed glass balcony, while the basement Cellar takes 40 among silk curtains, hand-carved timber screens, leather booths and a marble bar.
Catering is prepared in-house on seasonal menus and sold as all-inclusive food and beverage packages, with the bar running four to six hours depending on the package chosen. A dedicated wedding planner and event management come as standard, and exclusive room hire, champagne for the bridal party, DJ and AV, and wedding cake service are included on a package-dependent basis. There is no accommodation on the property. The combination of five distinctive private spaces, all-inclusive packages and a central Valley address makes Cloudland an outstanding city wedding venue.

I have been wanting to visit Cloudland since 2016 and finally got to visit recently. It is beautiful inside and massive on the ground level. I visited during the week and early in the evening, so it wasn't as busy and can expect during weekend late at night…
