Alamanda backs directly onto the sand at Palm Cove, which is a plainer advantage than it sounds. The Coral Sea begins at the edge of the property. Between the tropical gardens and the beach stands a purpose-built wedding chapel that the resort describes as the only one of its kind in Australia, and the whole beachfront property is run by Lancemore with the polish that implies. The gardens fill the ground between the chapel and the water, so the entire day stays within a few minutes’ walk.
Ceremonies go one of three ways: inside the chapel, out in the gardens, or barefoot on the beach itself. Receptions move to Nu Nu, the resort’s critically acclaimed beachfront restaurant, and couples who want something looser can keep the celebration on the sand as a cocktail reception instead. Guest numbers are not published, so those get settled when you enquire, which is also how packages and pricing are quoted.
Catering and beverages are both in-house. The Nu Nu team builds the menu as a fusion of local, seasonal produce, and the drinks list runs to Australian and international wine, cocktails, premium beers and spirits. Weddings are planned in partnership with South Pacific Bridal rather than by the resort alone, so ask early about who does what.
