The Lane Vineyard sits just outside Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, with sweeping views across the Onkaparinga Valley. It is rural Australian in character but a short drive from the centre of Adelaide, and the estate restaurant has been named one of Wine Enthusiast's Best Winery Restaurants in the World, one of only two Australian winery restaurants to receive that recognition.
Weddings are sold as curated packages. The Pavilion Package suits grand celebrations of up to 120 seated guests or 180 cocktail, and provides exclusive access to the entire estate, full pavilion hire and the estate's seasoned wedding coordinator. Ceremonies are held on the estate lawn overlooking the vineyards and the rolling hills of the valley; the package includes 32 white Americana chairs, a selection of wine barrels, a signing table and chairs dressed in white linen, a chilled water station for guests on arrival and use of the estate for the rehearsal.
The reception is held on the Terrace under a purpose-built pavilion, supplied as a blank canvas with lighting, tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, tablecloths, napkins, bar and glassware, leaving couples to add the finishing touches. Menus are curated by Head Chef Cameron Ahl and matched with the estate's acclaimed single-vineyard wines. Optional additions run to extra canapés, larger snacks, side dishes, a dessert course, a cheese platter or an oyster station, upgraded wine and beer packages, an Aperol Spritz or Ambleside Gin and Tonic cocktail hour, plus bar, lighting, marquee draping, linen tablecloths and upgraded crockery and cutlery.
