Hastwell & Lightfoot is a family-owned winery set among the vines of McLaren Vale, about 45 minutes south of Adelaide. The cellar door was named Best Cellar Door Wedding Venue 2025 – South Australia at the APAC Insider Awards, and the property is built around a run of curated spaces that are rustic without being rough.
The Oak Room seats up to 50 for a long-table style reception. For a larger day, the wrap-around spotted gum deck and the lush lawns beyond it host indoor-outdoor cocktail receptions for up to 150 guests, with vineyard views in every direction. The estate also owns a private vineyard and pine forest a kilometre down the road, and access to that site is included with every wedding booking, which gives couples a second setting for photographs.
Catering is entirely the couple's choice: bring the caterer you want, food trucks included, so the day reflects your own style. The venue is dog-friendly, so four-legged family can be part of the ceremony and reception.
