Rumi on Louth was incredible. We came here as a group of 8 adults and stayed 2nights. Everything was perfect from the moment they picked us up from the airport to the time they bid us goodbye. We were welcomed with cocktails, then went on a buggy tour ride of the island. Drinks and canapés were…

Rumi on Louth
A private island sanctuary on Louth Island off the Eyre Peninsula, 334 acres of red granite, white sand and turquoise water, available exclusively for up to 24 guests.
About Rumi on Louth
Rumi on Louth occupies Louth Island in the Spencer Gulf, off the Eyre Peninsula near Port Lincoln. The setting is 334 acres of wilderness: red granite, white sand and turquoise water, on Barngarla Sea Country. There are few places where a couple can genuinely claim the horizon, and that exclusivity is the whole proposition here.
Weddings run from an intimate elopement for two to a curated celebration for a close circle. Vows are exchanged on a secluded beach with the ocean as the only witness. The island can be booked exclusively for up to 24 guests, which brings full access to all accommodation, the Samphire restaurant, the fleet of vehicles and the entire island staff dedicated solely to your group. Accommodation runs to a one-bedroom Ocean View Suite, Ocean View and Island View rooms and the Rumi Retreat, with premium accommodation for up to 24 people in total.
Dining is bespoke, built around the Samphire restaurant and signature degustations with wine pairing. Rooms are shaped by restraint: natural materials, softened palettes and a deliberate absence of distraction, so the landscape stays the central presence. Rather than fixed wedding packages, the team guides couples through spaces, menus and experiences and prepares a tailored proposal. Rumi on Louth appears in our guide to wedding venues in South Australia, where you can compare it against other Eyre Peninsula properties on guest numbers, style and price band before you enquire.

Do yourself a favour and eat at the Samphire Restaurant at Rumi on Louth. You will not regret it. Scott and Ella in Front of House were amazing. Thank you!
