Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard sits about 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD at Lenswood, with breathtaking views over the vineyard and rolling hills. The design is stylishly rustic, and the setting of sloping vines, with apple and cherry farms, pine forest and natural bushland beyond, is what most couples come for.
Ceremonies are held on the lower lawn, under a magnificent flowering eucalypt. Pre-reception drinks and canapés are served on the outdoor deck, and then guests move inside for a boutique reception with capacity for 100 seated guests or 150 for a cocktail-style event. The views of the Mt Lofty Ranges make the property unusually photogenic in every direction, which is a practical advantage on the day.
The venue works to a brief rather than a rigid package: they will make suggestions, quote against your plan and go through the terms with you. Couples are encouraged to book a private tour to walk the site, talk through the package or tailor their own, and check available dates. The cellar door and restaurant are open daily from 11am to 5pm.
