Mt Beare Station occupies 500 acres of private, secluded valley with country views in every direction. Ian and Jane run it as a wedding and function venue, and the pitch is a deliberate one: take the back road rather than the well-worn wedding circuit. Couples typically visit several times before the day, and the property is offered on exclusive use with flexible access the day before and the day after.
There are multiple ceremony sites, including a lakeside lawn under a willow tree, plus two undercover options for poor weather that remove the need for last-minute marquee hire. The reception is held in the woolshed, refurbished with high-quality finishes, lighting and a sound system, insulated with natural light, ventilation, heating and cooling, and built around a ten-by-ten-metre dance floor. It seats up to 150 for a sit-down reception. A vine-covered alfresco terrace with a fairy-light canopy takes canapés and cocktails as the sun goes down the valley, and a covered beer garden with a fire pit and barbecue picks up later in the night.
The venue is fully flexible dry hire: couples bring their own beverages and caterers, with kitchen facilities in the blacksmith shop. What comes with the property is substantial: a facility manager, timber ceremony chairs and benches, seven-metre harvest tables and timber X-back chairs for 150, plates, glassware and cutlery, multiple bars, a JBL sound system, a wedding prep room and a large array of vintage styling pieces.
