About Mawson Lakes Hotel
Mawson Lakes Hotel is a hotel and function centre on Main Street in Mawson Lakes, 20 to 30 minutes north of the Adelaide CBD and about 45 minutes south of the Barossa Valley. Couples can hold the ceremony in one of the three function rooms, then stroll over to the nearby lake with the bridal party and photographer for photos. Reception packages give the couple exclusive use of the entire function centre for five hours, with a dedicated team on hand from planning to the night itself.
The function centre has the Varsity, Edgewater and Lakeside rooms, which open up together for receptions of up to 200 seated or 240 standing guests. On its own, the Lakeside Room is the largest, with 80 at banquet tables or 110 for cocktails. Reception packages include skirted bridal, cake and gift tables, chair covers with sashes, centrepieces on mirror bases, personalised signage and a dance floor, and an in-house range of styling and decor can be added on top.
Menus run from two or three course set menus to a buffet, with a beverage package of tap beer, wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee, plus a separate children's menu. The couple's wedding night in the executive honeymoon spa suite is included, with breakfast for two and late check-out, and guests staying the night get the best available room rates. A resident DJ and emcee, photo booth and dry ice for the first dance can be booked too. Compare it with the other South Australian wedding venues.
