Marybank is a family estate in the Adelaide foothills, established in 1853 and held by the Fox family as custodians since. Sixty acres of historic gardens, vineyard and rolling countryside sit about 15 minutes from the city, and gardens here have hosted weddings since 1846. The estate takes a limited number of weddings each year and hosts one at a time, so a booking means exclusive use of the whole property for the day.
There are four ways to celebrate. Micro Weddings are fully inclusive and thoughtfully simple for up to 50 guests. Estate Weddings take the full property (gardens, verandah and heritage barn) for up to 150 cocktail-style or 100 seated. Elopements are a luxe garden ceremony for up to 30 guests. A ceremony-only option runs in the quieter months of January, May, June, July and September, with three hours of hire including set-up and pack-down for up to 150 guests, four bench seats, a signing table and two chairs, and two hours of drinks and canapés with Olive included.
Couples exchange vows on the wedding lawn and dance under the stars in front of the barn. Full-estate hire includes the Barn Loft for the wedding night: a private retreat within the estate with heritage character, a working fireplace and gardens at the door, available as an add-on to the smaller packages for the night prior or the wedding night, with breakfast provisions and a bottle of wine. The estate's small vineyard produces two wines a year, made to be poured at Marybank weddings.
