Lost Phoenix Farm is tucked among the trees atop rolling hills in the Hindmarsh Valley, with views over the valleys of the Fleurieu Peninsula. It is about an hour's drive from the Adelaide CBD and a ten-minute drive from Victor Harbor, which makes it accessible without feeling close to the city.
The venue blends rustic charm with modern elegance, and takes a personalised approach so that each wedding reflects the couple rather than a template. Alongside weddings it operates as a restaurant, with Andre's Cucina Catering behind the kitchen and a shared, family-style Sunday roast as a regular fixture. The restaurant has two large adjoining grass areas, and dogs are welcome along the front lawn though not in the main dining area or under the verandah.
There is plenty of parking on the farm, though cars must be cleared overnight. The venue asks guests to arrive and leave via Hindmarsh Tiers Road and Mont Rosa Road rather than the Victor Harbor Road entrance, which is concealed and can be risky, and to drive slowly on the loose gravel. BYO wine is allowed with a surcharge of $25 per bottle, to a maximum of one bottle per two people. The farm hosts weddings for up to 200 guests; contact the venue directly for current wedding packages.
