Golding Wines is an Adelaide Hills winery at Lobethal, built around a beautifully crafted sandstone barn. The barn is surrounded by manicured gardens, vineyards, ancient gum trees and rolling hills, and the property is set up to hold the ceremony, the photography and the reception all in the one place.
The family has been hosting weddings here since 2002 and has built an experienced team around it, which is a long run in a region where many cellar doors have added functions more recently. The Western Branch Vineyard venue is also used for private celebrations, and the estate hosts corporate events from small meetings through to large end-of-financial-year dinners.
Menus and the estate's award-winning Adelaide Hills wines come together in a full wedding package, which the team sends out after an enquiry. Golding's own history is bound up with the region: the vineyards were devastated by the Cudlee Creek bushfires in December 2019, and the premium Chardonnay blocks have since been rejuvenated.
