There’s something pretty special about arriving at Terrara House. You drive through this grand tree-lined avenue and suddenly you’re in front of a beautiful old Victorian mansion — the kind of place that instantly feels like it was made for celebrations. Everything from the ceremony to the reception and the morning-after brekkie can happen on-site, which makes the whole experience feel really seamless.
The estate sleeps up to 28 guests, so your closest friends and family can stay with you, and there are a few different event spaces to choose from depending on the size and feel of your wedding. For something more intimate, Chesters — the restored building on-site — works really well for up to 100 guests. If you’re going bigger, the marquee on the front lawn fits up to 150. And they’ve got micro-wedding and elopement options too if you’re keeping it small (20 people or fewer).
What I liked most is that even though Terrara looks grand and formal, it’s actually super flexible. You get exclusive use of the whole place, and the team there is great about helping you tailor everything — from the menu and décor to the schedule itself. You could start with pre-ceremony drinks in the garden, then move into the marquee or Chesters for dinner and dancing. It all flows really naturally.
