About Saltwater Phillip Island
Among beach wedding venues in Victoria, Saltwater Phillip Island holds a genuinely rare position: it is built out on the jetty at Beach Crescent, Newhaven, with 270-degree water views overlooking the entrance to Westernport Bay. The venue describes itself as Victoria's newest beach wedding venue, marrying a love of the ocean with quality house-made local produce.
The setting does much of the work. The running tide rushes beneath the building, shifting from high to low every six hours to create ever-changing scenery, while the eastern entrance, Westernport Bay and the Phillip Island Bridge frame the horizon. Couples may spot the occasional seal floating by or waves breaking on the sand bar during their celebration on the water.
As a coastal bar, cafe and restaurant, Saltwater combines its dining pedigree with a relaxed atmosphere and food and drinks to match. The team's stated ambition is to put Phillip Island on the map as a food and wine destination, and wedding packages are available on enquiry via the venue's wedding enquiry form.
