About Married By Pan

Married By Pan is the celebrancy of Panayiota Ward, known to everyone as Pan (and no, it is not a typo for Pam). She is Greek Australian, a mum and, in her words, an unofficial organisation queen. After more than a decade in marketing, where much of her work involved telling stories, she traded her corporate role for celebrancy. Her site lists more than 80 ceremonies completed and five years of experience, with all lovers welcome.

Pan's own wedding in 2015 took place in a Greek Orthodox church. The traditions meant a great deal to her family, but she found it hard to add her own flair, and the ceremony did not feel quite like her and her partner. That experience shapes how she works now: she gets to know each couple's story and quirks, then builds a ceremony around them, keeping the traditions that matter and leaving out the ones that do not feel authentic.

She offers three packages. The Ultimate Wedding Package covers all legal paperwork and lodgement with Births, Deaths and Marriages, a personalised ceremony, help with vows, readings and rituals (including her How to Vow guide), unlimited email and phone contact, a virtual pre-ceremony meeting and her Bose PA with a Sennheiser wireless microphone. The Intimate Wedding Package suits up to 10 guests, and Short, Sweet and Legal covers the legal essentials, both Monday to Thursday.

Pan lives in Sandringham and, because she has a young family, currently books weddings in the Melbourne CBD, Melbourne Bayside and the Mornington Peninsula, where her packages carry no extra travel fees. Venues she has married couples at include All Smiles Sorrento, Jackalope Hotel, Dromana Estate, Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill and Fingal House. She warmly welcomes LGBTIQ+ couples and has a network of celebrant friends to step in if she is ever unwell.
