About Leonards Hill Estate
Leonards Hill Estate is a boutique private estate near Daylesford, 90 minutes from Melbourne and 40 minutes from Ballarat, run by El and Keith. Each wedding has exclusive use of the four-acre estate with no shared events, and access runs from 10am to 11pm, leaving time to set up, style and celebrate without rushing. The ceremony, reception and accommodation all happen on site, couples are free to choose their own suppliers, and dogs and other pets are welcome at the celebration.
Vows are said beneath the Grand Tree, a centuries-old eucalyptus, or in the Courtyard with its wooden arbours, garden beds and a portico of 100-year-old timber beams. Drinks and canapés follow in the Pavilion, an all-weather clear-walled marquee that doubles as a backup ceremony space. Receptions are held in The Shed, which seats up to 100 guests under pendant and festoon lighting, with polished concrete floors, a custom bar, climate control and windows looking out over the countryside.
Venue hire covers ceremony chairs, reception tables, furniture, glassware, lawn games, setup and pack down, plus vendor coordination and timeline support. Couples can bring in their own caterer or choose an all-inclusive seated or cocktail package with canapés, food, bar staff and a six-hour drinks package. The Homestead sleeps six on site, there is room for up to 10 glamping tents, and the Wedding Weekend option gives exclusive use of the estate from Friday to Sunday. Compare it with the other Victorian wedding venues.
