Celebrate with Liz is Liz Shaw, a Melbourne marriage celebrant based in Parkdale who marries couples across Victoria, around Australia and beyond. Liz takes the time to get to know each couple before the big day, through in person or Zoom meetings, so that on the day it feels like a good mate is doing the official deed. Her ceremonies balance belly laughs with real intimacy and are built around each couple's own love story.
Couples choose between two options. Shut Up and Kiss Me is a small legal ceremony with the couple, two witnesses and Liz, suited to couples marrying overseas or at venues that do not usually host weddings, and it is not offered on Fridays or Saturdays. The Whole Hitch is a fully customised ceremony with help planning the wedding and writing vows, an early arrival on the day and use of Liz's PA system and wireless microphones.
Liz handles the forms and lodges the paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages, provides the keepsake Commonwealth marriage certificate and includes up to 90 km of travel from Parkdale, plus a free change of date. Optional extras include MC services and professional calligraphy for the marriage certificate, and her Big Day Boutique sells a DIY wedding rehearsal guide.
