About At The Heads
At The Heads is a waterfront restaurant perched on the water's edge at Barwon Heads, looking out over the mouth of the Barwon River, the iconic bridge and the Bluff beyond. It sits within the Geelong & Bellarine region, and with its spectacular views, food and endless photo opportunities, it makes a naturally scenic setting among the beach wedding venues in Victoria.
Couples can choose from several ceremony options, including outdoor spaces by the beach and grassy areas overlooking the jetty, or an indoor spot under the venue's exposed beams. The main dining room features warm timber and ample glass, with views taking in the Barwon Heads bridge and the Bluff, while bi-fold doors on the northern and eastern sides open the space onto the water and the deck.
The kitchen focuses on modern Australian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seafood, served as sit-down or canapé-style receptions. Fairy lights are strewn between the restaurant rafters for a canopy of twinkling light, and winter weddings bring open fireplaces, candles and plenty of atmosphere.
