Wilderness Flowers is a wedding and event florist working from a studio in the Byron Bay hinterland, creating bold, sculptural arrangements across Byron Bay, the Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast. Owner Mikarla spent 18 years as a Sydney wedding and event florist before moving to Byron Bay in 2016, and divides her time between weddings, events and growing her own flowers. Head designer Maddie brings close to 10 years of wedding floristry.
Couples begin by sharing their vision, then receive a bespoke floral moodboard and a detailed proposal tailored to their venue, season and budget, and changes can still be made after the date is secured. Packages range from The Elopement for intimate ceremonies, to The Signature Wedding with bouquets, ceremony backdrops and table arrangements, to The Luxury Experience with ceremony installations, reception tablescapes and ceiling designs.
Wilderness Flowers brings over 20 years of floral design experience, and its gallery features weddings at Fig Tree, Byron View Farm, Rae's on Wategos, Summergrove Estate, The Valley Estate, Bangalow Chapel and Byron Bay Surf Club, plus a styled shoot at The Bank House in Bangalow. Its work has been featured in fashion and wedding publications.
