Wallaringa Farm is a boutique farm stay set on a private 750 acre working farm at Wallaringa, between Paterson and Dungog in the Hunter Valley. Rolling paddocks, old gums and wide country skies surround the property, and horses, cattle, kangaroos and native birdlife share the land. It sits about 15 minutes from Dungog and just over two hours by car from Sydney, which makes it a quiet country escape for couples.
Weddings here are deliberately small. The farm specialises in elopements and micro weddings for two to ten people, with ceremonies held at locations across the property. Its three packages are The Stables Elopement for couples marrying on their own, The Farmhouse Elopement for a small group of loved ones including children, and The Wallaringa Wedding, a more expansive micro wedding experience. The site notes that elopements are designed as intimate midweek celebrations.
Every package is all inclusive. Onsite accommodation, a celebrant with vow guidance and legal paperwork, professional photography, seasonal florals and gentle planning guidance are all part of it, and witnesses can be provided if needed. Couples can add extras such as videography, private chef catering, hair and makeup, ceremony styling, grazing tables, wedding cake and a recovery brunch. The covered decks of The Farmhouse and The Stables offer a wet weather option.
The Farmhouse sleeps up to six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a chef's kitchen, wood burning fireplace, fire pit and timber deck overlooking the farm. The Stables are two adults only cabins for couples, each with an outdoor bush bath, fireplace and private deck, launching in 2026. The farm is not pet friendly because it is a working cattle property. Compare it with the other Hunter Valley wedding venues.
