About Vicki Lever Celebrant

Vicki Lever is a Commonwealth-registered civil marriage celebrant based in Nelson Bay, Port Stephens. She has been officiating ceremonies since 2009 and is now a full-time celebrant. Before celebrancy she spent more than 20 years in training consultancy, which gave her the communication, presentation and public speaking skills she now brings to every ceremony. Originally from Sydney, she moved to Port Stephens for its natural beauty and enjoys local walks, beaches and the occasional round of golf.

Her ceremonies start with your story. Vicki uses a questionnaire and relaxed chats to learn how you met and what you love about each other, then drafts a narrative that forms the heart of the ceremony. She helps with vows, readings, rituals and cultural or religious elements, and usually meets couples two or three times in the lead-up. Every ceremony is written personally by her, and her FAQ states plainly that she does not use AI to write vows or ceremony content.

The celebrant fee covers consultations, all legal paperwork and lodgement, a ceremony kit with sample vows and readings, a bespoke ceremony, a rehearsal at your venue, a PA system with wireless microphone, a signing table and chairs, a printed marriage certificate and a keepsake copy of your script. Travel within about a 1.5 hour drive of Nelson Bay is included. She also offers elopements, legals-only weddings, non-legal commitment ceremonies and vow renewals.

Vicki works mainly across the Hunter region, from beachfront resorts and coastal retreats to private estates and gardens, and is happy to travel elsewhere in NSW or Australia. She is a member of The Celebrants Network and lists a Wedding Diaries Editor's Choice Award and an Easy Weddings 5-Star Award voted by couples. She says she has never missed a wedding, and she was honoured to officiate both her daughter's and her son's weddings.
