Trudy Worden, known as Trudy the Celebrant, is a Brisbane marriage celebrant based in Mitchelton on the city's north side. She has more than 16 years of experience and has officiated hundreds of weddings across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast and surrounding regions. She became a celebrant to marry friends of hers, loved being part of their day and has not looked back. She believes a ceremony should feel relaxed, heartfelt and completely about the couple.
Couples describe Trudy as calm and reassuring, especially when nerves hit, and organised with all the legal requirements. A past career in digital products and project management, plus a habit of renovating houses, means she is comfortable coordinating with venues and suppliers. She takes time to learn each couple's story, then helps with ceremony structure, vows, readings, rituals and music timing so nothing feels overwhelming.
Her packages range from legals only weddings, a relaxed alternative to the registry office, through elopements, micro weddings and surprise weddings, to standard and fully bespoke ceremonies. Larger packages include a PA system and wireless microphone, printed vow cards and a rehearsal at your venue, and she also offers vow renewals and destination weddings. Trudy is a proudly inclusive celebrant and has officiated same-sex, transgender and non-binary weddings.
Trudy has received an Easy Weddings 5 Star Review Award, was named one of the top 10 celebrants in Brisbane by the Wedding Industry Awards and was a finalist in the Australian Bridal Industry Awards for Best Queensland Celebrant. She regularly marries couples on North Stradbroke and Moreton islands, on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts and in the Scenic Rim, and will travel further with notice.
