Tour Local is a family run bus touring and charter business based in Pakenham, in Melbourne's south east. Joanne and her brother Gavin started the company in 2008 after years of working on tour buses, and Joanne's son Ray later joined the family business. Alongside day tours and over 50s holidays, the team runs a dedicated wedding bus service, with Ray looking after couples from the first quote through to the big day.
The wedding service covers guest transport one way or return, shuttles between ceremony and reception venues, bridal party transport and plans with multiple buses, pickups and timings for larger weddings. The fleet includes a 41 seat King Long luxury coach, a 25 seat Yutong midi coach, a 9 seat Renault Master mini coach and a 10 seat Toyota Commuter, all with air conditioning, seat belts and music playback. Buses can be decorated in a wedding theme on request.
Tour Local also runs hens and bucks days and tours for visiting family, and its Bottomless Brunch by the Bay is a favourite with hens groups. The drivers are tour guides at heart, used to looking after people and making each journey part of the celebration, and to getting guests home safely at the end of the night. Wedding and charter bookings now run under the Local Way Tours banner, a division of Tour Local.
