Thomas Stewart, known as Tom, is a wedding photographer based in Bowral in the Southern Highlands. He works in a documentary style, recording what happens on the day with no boring posing and only minimal direction when it is needed. None of the couples in his portfolio are models and none of the images come from styled shoots. Natural portraits take around 30 minutes, so couples are not taken away from their guests for hours.
Tom left his job as a lawyer at the end of 2009 and has been a full time photographer since early 2010, now shooting around 60 weddings a year. He never hands a wedding to another photographer, uses fully silent cameras and always brings backup gear. Every delivered image is fully edited, with next day sneak peeks and around 800 high resolution photos in a private online gallery about four weeks later, and couples own the copyright.
Most of Tom's weddings are in the Southern Highlands and on the South Coast, and he is available throughout Australia and overseas. He regularly photographs weddings at Bendooley Estate, Centennial Vineyards, Mali Brae Farm, Growwild, Milton Park, Briars Country Lodge and Berry Homestead, and Growwild, his childhood home, is where he married in 2013. Coverage comes in six, eight and ten hour options, with engagement shoots available.
