A Melbourne party and events band of pop, soul and jazz musicians who play wedding ceremonies and receptions, from an acoustic duo to a five piece with sax or brass.
The Night Creatures are a group of Melbourne pop, soul and jazz musicians with years of experience at leading venues, festivals and events. Inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and Bruno Mars, they move across genres and eras, from Justin Timberlake to the Rolling Stones and Aretha Franklin, with a song list of over 200 songs designed to suit every age group and mood.
For weddings, the band plays both ceremonies and receptions and can learn a special aisle song or first dance on request. Their most popular line ups are the five piece (vocals, electric guitar, bass, drums and keys or saxophone), a four piece, and an acoustic duo for ceremonies or relaxed celebrations, including a vocal and drum combo. Trios, quartets and a brass section are also available.
The band has played weddings across Australia and in Bali and Thailand, as well as events such as the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. Couples have booked them at venues including Shadowfax Winery, Rupert on Rupert, The Post Office Hotel and Mitchelton Wines, and they handle the planning behind the scenes as well as the performance on the day.
