The Lighthouse Restaurant
A waterfront restaurant at the tip of Cleveland Point with reception spaces overlooking Moreton Bay, 30 minutes from Brisbane.
About The Lighthouse Restaurant
The Lighthouse Restaurant sits at the end of Cleveland Point, looking out across Moreton Bay and its islands, 30 minutes from Brisbane and 50 minutes from the Gold Coast. Its story runs back to the Cleveland Kiosk, rebuilt in 1939, and the venue was renamed The Lighthouse in 1986, then reopened after a major renovation on 31 December 2006. Today it runs a waterfront seafood restaurant, a café and a fish and chippery seven days a week.
The Lighthouse hosts receptions only, and most couples hold their ceremony under the historic lighthouse across the road, booked through Redland City Council. Receptions use the Waters Edge, a large undercover space for up to 140 seated or 200 cocktail, the elevated Deck, the indoor and nautically themed Boathouse or the waterfront Gazebo, or the whole venue for up to 280 seated. The Boathouse and Gazebo return in mid 2027.
Every wedding includes an in-house coordinator, a planning guide, a final planning meeting about five weeks out, set-up of the reception space, floor and bar staff, and standard tableware and linen. Menus are shared banquet feasts served to the centre of the table or a flowing cocktail selection of canapés and petite dishes, with a bar tab, open bar or cash bar for drinks. Only a limited number of weddings are hosted each year. Compare it with the other Queensland wedding venues.
