The Gelato Bike is a custom-made, refrigerated gelato trike based in Gerringong that serves unlimited scoops of Berry-made gelato at weddings across the South Coast, Southern Highlands and Sydney.
The Gelato Bike is a one of a kind, custom-made trike filled with gelato, established in 2018 and based on the NSW South Coast at Gerringong. It travels to weddings across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands and Sydney, and has served couples at venues such as Seacliff House, Willow Farm Berry, Bendooley Estate, Wildwood and Bawley Vale Estate, either after the ceremony, through cocktail hour or as a sweet surprise between formalities.
The gelato comes from the Berry Treat Factory and Dairy Bar, made with South Coast Dairy milk and cream, and couples choose four flavours from a seasonal list of gelato and fruit sorbets such as salted caramel, pistachio, honeycomb, mango and lemon. Service is unlimited for either 60 or 90 minutes, with cups, cones and biodegradable spoons, a dedicated attendant and a personalised menu board, while a gelato doughnut package adds locally made cinnamon doughnuts.
Couples can pick between the white bike and a rustic timber cart and choose an umbrella to suit their theme, and the refrigerated bike has built-in LED lighting for evening service. It needs a single power outlet, with a small generator available for beach, garden, farm or bush weddings. Add-ons include personalised cup stickers, gluten free cones and toppings, plus hire and styling through The Wedding & Event Creators.
