About The Calyx
The Calyx is a striking modern glasshouse pavilion at the heart of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, home to Australia's largest living vertical green wall. The 6,000-plant feature wall changes seasonally, making it a once-in-a-lifetime ceremony backdrop that no other venue can replicate.
Climate-controlled and weatherproof, The Calyx hosts up to 200 seated or 280 cocktail-style — perfect for couples who want a garden wedding feel with the certainty of an indoor space. Surrounding garden paths offer endless photography options, with views to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour just minutes away.
Hire is exclusive in the evenings after the Garden closes to the public. Catering is by the Garden's in-house team, with menus celebrating native Australian ingredients.
