Tegan Murray is a Launceston based wedding and elopement photographer whose story-led images capture weddings naturally across Tasmania and beyond.
Tegan Murray Photography is based in Launceston in Northern Tasmania, documenting weddings and elopements across the state and around Australia. Tegan is a proud Aboriginal woman, and the business acknowledges the Stoney Creek Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land where she lives and works. Alongside weddings she photographs couples, families and newborns, with sessions that are relaxed, playful and led by connection rather than perfection.
Her wedding work is story-led and inspired by the connection between people and place. Rather than turning the day into one long photoshoot, Tegan captures moments as they unfold, from the laughter during speeches to the quiet in-between moments, with the Tasmanian landscape playing a big part. She loves golden hour, moody black and white, beaches, cliffs and forests, and couples who do it their way.
Tegan meets couples before the day to plan group photos and can help with timelines, lighting, locations and vendor recommendations. A second photographer can be added, and sneak peek images arrive the day after the wedding, with the full online gallery in four to six weeks. She travels to Hobart and beyond, and interstate for weddings.
