Ted Johnson is a registered marriage celebrant in Brisbane who crafts ceremonies for every style of wedding, from traditional to totally out there. He became a celebrant because of his daughter: on 1 January 2019 Amy and her fiancé Connor asked him to marry them. After nine months of course modules and exams he was registered in November 2019, and he married the couple on 5 January 2020.
Ted offers several ceremony packages: a full bespoke wedding ceremony, a Brisbane elopement, a micro wedding, a registry office style legals only service and a "Get Married By Your Bestie" option, where a close friend leads the ceremony while Ted officiates and handles the legal requirements. He also conducts vow renewals and commitment ceremonies, and can stay on as MC for the reception.
His full service includes completing the Notice of Intended Marriage together in person or via Zoom, help writing vows with cue cards, a rehearsal, a venue check and a PA system for music and vows.
