Steve Mummery Celebrant is Steve Mummery, a Perth marriage celebrant since 2017 who has been part of more than 500 weddings and funerals. Raised in Adelaide and in Perth since 1998, he spent a decade as Content Director at Mix 94.5 and nine years as CEO of Channel 7's Telethon Trust, so speaking in public comes naturally. His aim is a relaxed, light hearted ceremony that feels authentic to the couple.
It starts with a chat by phone, FaceTime, Zoom or over coffee, then the couple shares their history and who is involved, and they sign the Notice of Intended Marriage. Steve writes the ceremony, offers a run through or a first listen on the day, and recommends a rehearsal with the wedding party. He also keeps an A List of trusted Perth wedding suppliers and hosts the Getting Hitched podcast for couples.
On the day he arrives early, plays music through his speaker before the ceremony and has printed vows ready, then lodges the legal paperwork afterwards. Couples can choose an authentic ceremony, a quick elopement style wedding at his home or theirs, or the Stress Free Wedding and MC Experience, where Steve also hosts the reception formalities.
