Spitting Image Catering is a Blackburn North caterer known for spit roasts, gourmet BBQs and finger food, creating custom wedding menus across Melbourne and country Victoria.
Spitting Image Catering was established by Mark Longmuir in 1989 and works from offices and a kitchen in Blackburn North. Mark trained in the fine dining room at the Hyatt and at Walters Wine Bar, and today leads a team of chefs and event staff while staying hands on in the kitchen and at events. The business is best known for spit roast catering, gourmet BBQs and finger food, with a focus on local farmers and fresh local produce.
For weddings, the team creates a customised menu, from an elegant cocktail party or casual spit roast buffet to a gourmet BBQ, rustic share platters or a formal sit down meal. Couples can choose a main course only or a three course menu with a drinks package and all staff, and allergy free options are available for every dietary need. Mark can mix and match food, drinks and service to suit each celebration.
Spitting Image also offers full service beverage packages with glassware, refrigeration, bar equipment and RSA qualified bar staff through its sommelier drinks package. Through long relationships with Melbourne suppliers, the team can recommend venues, marquees, party hire and staging, sound and lighting. They cater weddings across Melbourne and country Victoria, and couples are welcome to visit the Blackburn North office to talk through plans.
