Simple & Romantic Weddings is the celebrancy of Blair Fraser, a marriage celebrant based in North Perth. Blair says he became a celebrant after watching ceremonies where he knew he could do a better job and add an extra spark. He loves romance and laughter in a ceremony, and his aim is a wedding that is memorable, moving and fun, with your story at the centre rather than a rehash of someone else's script.

His process starts with a coffee. Blair invites couples to share a tea or coffee before deciding whether to book, suggesting that if you want humour, notice how often you laughed, and if you want romance, notice how warm the conversation felt. He explains his fee before the meeting, there is no obligation to proceed, and he asks couples to simply let him know by email within a week or so.

Once booked, Blair meets you again to gather your story and complete the Notice of Intended Marriage, then emails a draft ceremony with unlimited changes. He sends examples and websites to help with your own vows, runs a rehearsal covering everything from the train to the angle of the sun, arrives about an hour early on the day and lodges all the legal paperwork. Standard PA equipment and travel within Perth are included.

Blair holds a Bachelor of Business and a Certificate IV in Celebrancy, and he is an international lacrosse referee who has represented Australia around the world. He has married couples in parks, private venues, backyards, beaches and a grand chapel. Most of his weddings are in Perth and its surrounds, but he services all of Western Australia and will normally travel the day before for venues well out of Perth to run the rehearsal.
