Sheldon Reception is a wedding and events venue in Sunshine West, about a 20 minute drive from the Melbourne CBD, with interiors designed by Shaynna Blaze. The team has been planning weddings and events for over 30 years, and the venue hosts weddings of 70 to 600 guests across three spaces: the Bliss Room, the Delphinium Room and Sheldon Gardens. The ballrooms are fitted with sparkling chandeliers and grand staircases made for a memorable entrance.
The Bliss Room seats 220 to 600 guests in tiered seating around a large polished dance floor. Couples can rise through the floor in an enclosed glass elevator or walk down the staircase, then take their seats at a bridal table set in front of a cascading wall of water. The Delphinium Room suits 70 to 240 guests with chandeliers, a long mirrored wall and its own bar, while Sheldon Gardens hosts outdoor ceremonies and receptions for up to 200.
All menus are created by the Head Chef and cooked on site, from canapes and buffets to three course sit down meals, and venue hire packages let couples bring in their own caterer and suppliers instead. Sheldon Reception also hosts Indian weddings, including Haldi, Mehndi, Puja and Phera ceremonies, along with Vietnamese, Afghan, African and Lebanese celebrations. Each booking includes 5.5 hours, with music ending at midnight. Compare it with the other Victorian wedding venues.
