Samantha Ohlsen Photography is the Sydney based business of Samantha Ohlsen, a wedding and family photographer who came to photography after many years as an Army Nursing Officer, including time in Afghanistan. She says that background shapes how she works on a wedding day: organised, meticulous and steady under pressure, with a well developed ability to put people of all ages and backgrounds at ease.

Samantha covers greater Sydney, north to Newcastle, west to the Blue Mountains and south to Wollongong and the Southern Highlands, as well as destination weddings including Lord Howe Island. Her collections cover the whole day, from the groom getting ready to the end of the reception, with two photographers at most weddings, a custom designed album and help building the wedding day timeline.

Her style leans on bold, vivid colour, dramatic black and white, textures and reflections, and she is a keen advocate of the First Look, a private moment for the couple before the ceremony.
