About Sabina's Ceremonies

Sabina Turner, known to her couples as Bina, is an authorised marriage celebrant based in Turramurra on Sydney's Upper North Shore who trades as Sabina's Ceremonies. She describes her style as relaxed, genuine, personal and warm, full of love and lots of laughs, and promises genuine language with no mushy love talk or cheesy clichés. Whether a couple wants something elegant, elaborate, simple or fun, she tailors the ceremony to suit them and tells their own love story.

Sabina brings her background in public speaking, performing and teaching to the role, using those skills to engage guests and keep everyone connected to the moment. She likes to find ways to involve family and friends in the ceremony if the couple wishes, and she offers advice on venue, staging and choreography. Her approach is to think through the little things that could go wrong and deal with them before they happen, so couples feel informed and confident at every step.

For weddings she prepares and lodges the Notice of Intended Marriage and all paperwork with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages, meets the couple two or three times beforehand and runs a rehearsal, preferably at the venue. Couples receive a Marriage Resources Kit covering ceremony structure, rituals, readings and music, plus a carefully researched written ceremony. On the day she brings a portable cordless PA that can also play music, a signing table and chairs if needed, a commemorative certificate and a printed copy of the ceremony.

Sabina also performs legals-only elopements, a five to ten minute ceremony with the couple and two witnesses at a location of their choice, as well as naming ceremonies, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies and funerals. For small ceremonies of up to 10 to 12 people including the bridal party, she offers her garden overlooking the bush or her elegant lounge room in Turramurra at no extra cost.
