About Russell Harris Entertainment
Russell Harris Entertainment is the business of Russell Harris, a professional musician, songwriter and performer with a career spanning 30 years. Born and raised in Cairns, he holds a Diploma of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium and is now based on Brisbane's northside. Russell sings and plays guitar, trumpet and flugelhorn, works as a band leader and MC, and has recorded two solo albums of original music.
For weddings, Russell offers a live acoustic soloist for the ceremony, with light music as guests arrive, live performances of the aisle walk, signing and exit songs, and music while the couple mingle before photos. Evening packages add relaxed acoustic sets over canapés, background sets through dinner and speeches, a live first dance and parent dances, then live music and DJ sets until close. Song requests are welcome and any song can be played live.
Couples can also design a bespoke package with MC duties, tailored PA and lighting, or a live band of two to ten players. Basic coloured stage lighting and a corded microphone for speeches come at no charge, and a white marquee for the band is available on request. Russell covers Greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan, Redland, Caboolture, Tweed Heads and the Scenic Rim.
