Rothwood is a private garden and outdoor wedding venue in Wattle Grove at the gateway to the Perth Hills, around 30 minutes from the Perth CBD and 20 minutes from Perth Airport. Five acres of lush gardens and native bushland hold several ceremony spaces, reception areas and photo spots, and only one wedding is held at a time, so your booked spaces are never shared with another celebration.
Ceremonies can be held at a choice of locations in the gardens, with timber bridges, towering gum trees and a natural creek line running through the property. Receptions take place in a permanent clear-walled marquee with an integrated dance floor and festoon lighting, and guests can gather around the firepit as the sun sets. Ceremony and reception furniture is provided, with set-up and pack-down handled by the Rothwood team.
Rothwood is a BYO venue, so couples choose their own caterer and supply drinks, served by Rothwood's RSA trained bar staff. A dedicated wedding coordinator helps with the layout, timeline and supplier access. The restored 1920s Homestead sleeps up to ten guests. Owners Kevin and his wife held their own wedding in the gardens in 2014, and guests soon asked to marry there too. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
