A 150-year-old family farmhouse on more than 200 acres beside the Albert River, with a dressed marquee, seven ceremony sites and a BYO caravan bar below Tamborine Mountain.
Plunkett Villa Tamborine is a country wedding and function venue on more than 200 acres beside the Albert River, below Tamborine Mountain on the border of Logan and the Gold Coast Hinterland. The Plunkett family has held land here since 1869, and the restored farmhouse at its centre is around 150 years old. Every wedding has exclusive use of the property.
Receptions are held in a dressed and floored 20m x 10m marquee with a draped fabric ceiling, chandeliers and fairy lighting, or out on the lawn under festoon lights strung to 150-year-old trees. The ceremony sites page describes seven settings, from Tamborine Mountain views and the pastures to the pines, the grove, the old dairy and the fountain in front of the farmhouse.
Drinks are BYO for a per-person fee, chilled in the cold room and served from a vintage caravan bar by RSA accredited bar staff included in the venue hire. Catering comes from a range of menus by the venue's regular caterers, including alternate drop, cocktail, spit roast, paella and banquet options, and food trucks or your own caterer are welcome for a fee.
Beyond the full-day wedding there are pop-up weddings for around 40 guests and two-hour micro weddings for up to 20, plus a bridal preparation studio available from 7am. Plunkett Villa won Historic Venue and Elopements and Intimate Weddings at the 2024 Wedding Industry Awards for the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim. Compare it with the other Queensland wedding venues.
Pop-up wedding (2027): From $6,950
All-inclusive package including GST, as published, for around 40 guests over about four hours: ceremony with celebrant, styled arbour, two hours of photography, a two-tier cake, grazing table or canapes and your BYO drinks served from the caravan bar. The marquee is an extra $1,100. A two-hour micro wedding for up to 20 guests, Sunday to Thursday, is $4,400 (2026 and 2027). Full-day wedding pricing is on enquiry.
