This boutique restaurant wedding venue sits at Forest Hill Winery in Denmark, in Western Australia's Great Southern. The property is set against sun-dappled vineyard hills and edged by towering karri forests, so every corner offers a spot for photos. Chef Silas Masih founded the restaurant in 2010, and couples have exclusive use of the entire venue and grounds, with the restaurant seating up to 100 guests and marquee weddings on the property for up to 150.
Ceremonies can be held in the sunken Amphitheatre, where golden afternoon light filters through the karri trees, or in the atmospheric Cellar Door, which suits a candlelit or winter wedding and doubles as the wet weather option. Canapes are served on the Front Lawn, which looks out over the valley to Mt Halliwell, before guests move into the restaurant, where floor-to-ceiling glass doors frame the valley as twilight rolls over the forest.
Every wedding menu is designed by Chef Silas, whose signature style balances spice with fresh seasonal produce, and drinks packages are matched to the menu. A wedding coordinator provides a planning pack, unlimited phone and email support and consultations, then manages the event chefs, service staff and bartenders on the day.
